The Laurel Lady Spartans remain undefeated after winning a hard fought game against the Blake Lady Bengals 48-35 on Friday night. The Lady Spartans overcame a 10 point deficit in the first quarter in which they were down 13-3, and went on a 18-5 run to close out the first half.

Both teams played hard and were very disruptive defensively. Laurel pulled away in the 4th quarter, going 9-11 from the free throw line.

Senior Franxine Cooper and Junior Marissa Steel combined for 29 rebounds on the night. Cooper also contributed 10 points and 3 steals for the Lady Spartans.
